The first highly commendable film based on college life and it talks about the love triangle between Rahul(Shahrukh Khan), Anjali(Kajol) and Tina(Rani Mukherjee) to become an entertainer which will stay there for decades. The cameo role played Salman Khan(Aman Mehra) is another twist in the storyline which we all loved watching. 8. Maine Pyar Kiya
Dosti ka ek oosol hai Madam…No Sorry, No Thank You
The boyish look on Salman Khan’s face and the beautiful Bhagyashree is what we love watching in this film again and again. The melodious songs combined with the boy-girl romance can turn nostalgic for anyone from the 80s and 90s. Even after 25 years since the day the movie hit the screen there is something which provokes you to keep enjoying this love story. Alok Nath, Rajeev Verma, Reema Lagoo, Laxmikant Berde as Manohar and Ajit Vachani have also worked in this movie.

SS Rajamoul’s Bahubali: The Beginning and Bahubali: The Conclusion can never make one feel bored and that is the main reason why we loving watching it every time it comes to TV. 10. Namaste London
“Ishq de mere mitra pehchaan ki, mit javay jadoon zid apnan di …Asli pyar ka matlab haasil karna nahi hota “- Katrian Kaif
The love story between a Punjabi Munda, Arjun, and videshi girl, Jasmeet(Jass) is another blockbuster film we all can go gaga about. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif look perfect and we can watch the two over and over again. No doubts about that the two still form a much in demand on screen.
11. Namak Halaal
Paapi ko mat maaro … paapi ke dil ke andhar joh shaitaan behta hua hai, usse maaro
Amitabh Bachchan and Parveen Babi, Shashi Kapoor and Smita Patil, the star cast of the film itself are enough to watch this any time of the day. One of the best movies of Indian cinema which revolves around the life of loyal and naive youngster Arjun.
DANGAL is a masterpiece. A terrific film that stays in your heart and remains etched in your memory much after the screening has concluded. A brilliant film that restores your faith in Hindi cinema. Actually, it won’t be erroneous to state that DANGAL is the finest film to come out of the Hindi film industry in a long, long time and mark my words, it will be remembered as a classic in times to come. It blends drama, emotions, sportsmanship, and patriotism extraordinarily the icing on the cake being Aamir Khan’s towering act. A must must watch!
“Hamari Choriyaan choro se kamm hai ke”
13. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak includes songs like Ghazab Ka Yeh Din, Ae Mere Humsafar, and Akele Hai Toh Kya Gham hai and that’s what makes this love story so sweet and memorable. The film shows the brutality of honour killing, something which is present in our country even today. We should watch this movie, not for fun but also as a lesson and pledge to remove these bad things from our society.
14. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
This is a superb movie that everyone has got to see. In my opinion, Aishwarya Rai has given her best performance till now. The movie has captured the breathtaking beauty of Rajasthan and Gujarat and you can also view the cultural settings of India. Very lovely, sentimental, emotional, touching, very near to real life.
Acting superb Direction superb Music superb, everything is to the perfection.
A new definition of love and perfect presentation of this new meaning. Aishwarya and Salman in love in the first part but then Ajay enters and stud acting and how he acts when he knows the truth after his marriage with Aishwarya.
15. Love Aaj Kal
Two lovers living in this fast-paced, technology-driven world finally unite in love and that’s what makes one so connected with this film. Jai and Meera(Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone)love each other but they are not ready to tie the knot. As the couple unites in a teary reunion, in the end, there is something so touchy in this film which we don’t mind watching before 2019 begins.
16. Gangs Of Wasseypur I & II
The movie is informative – it very subtly tells the audience all about the way Indian coal mafia has progressed over the years, the gang wars, the politics. Obviously, there is a lot of slang. I have not seen a Hindi movie with so crude a language ever, absolutely not recommended for family viewing and children/teenagers. The camera angles, especially the final sequence is superb. Anurag Kashyap is India’s answer to Quentin Terentino. Gangs of Waseypur is already a Cult.
Siddiqui’s role is brief in the first part and I have a feeling he will play a major role in the remaining part of this epic. He is already looking good. Tigmanshu as Ramadheer Singh is terrific, his expressions too good. Nawaz is as usual at his best, His role as Faizal is full of badass and he justifies it.
“Baap ka, Dada ka, sabka badla lega re Faizal”
17. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge(DDLJ)
The Raj and Simran love story seems to have become epic and the dialogues from the movie “Jaa, Simran, jaa. Jee le Apni Zindagi” and “Main aa Raha Hoon, Simran does take us down the memory lane as the film has created history. Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Amrish Puri and Farida Jalal each have a unique role which can never forget.
18. 3 Idiots
Utamamm dadh-dhadhatt paadham … madhyam paadham thuchuk thuchuk … khanishtham thud-thudiya paadham … sur-suriya pran ghatkam
Aal Izz Well…….All Izz Well
3 Idiots count as one bindaas movie which is not just hilarious but connects to something which we all have done in our college days. Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor play a character challenges the system in its unique way. This movie will always remain fresh. Personally, I don’t know how many time I have watched this movie. This is one movie which you can never get over in your lifetime. Just watch the movie for 5 min and you will end up watching the whole movie every single time. Any graduate student, especially engineering graduates will relate to this movie. This movie has all which it takes to be the best movie of all time.
19. Dil Chahta Hai
Mujhe yakeen hai ki main sirf isliye janma hun ki tumse pyaar kar sakun, tum sirf isliye ki ek din meri ban jao
Dil Chahta Hai starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni, and Dimple Kapadia is a story of three college friends who literally cannot live without each other. With time and their different approaches towards relations the three friends separate. That is what happens in real life too but the film delivers the message that no matter what happens the three finally unite in the end. and that’s what we love about this movie. This movie has given a dream to college graduates to plan a trip to Goa with their best friends once in their college time, but the irony is it has always failed.
19.Rang De Basanti
Koi bhi desh perfect nahi hota. Use perfect banana padta hai
The patriotic film which urges the young generation that now its time to bring a change and take up the responsibility of making everything “correct” in our corrupt nation ended up leaving a mark on many youngsters. Aamir Khan as DJ is a fun loving character who lives life Kingsize and Soha Ali Khan in a powerful role of Sonia shows the powerful and independent woman of today. There is Siddharth Narayan, Atul Kulkarni as Lakshman Pandey, Kunal Kapoor as Aslam Khan, Sharman Joshi as Sukhi Ram and R. Madhavan as Flight Lt. Ajay Rathod.
20.Hum Aapke Hain Kaun
The 90s movie “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun” took the audiences by storm with Prem(Salman Khan) and Nisha’s (Madhuri Dixit) love story. The sacrifice that the two lovers give for their family makes one’s heart cry out. But that is what life is all about, there are ups and downs. This is one of the most popular Madhuri Dixit films and the songs with those latkas and jhatkas still play at many weddings even today.
21.Chak De! India
Mujhe states ke naam na sunai dete hai na dikhai dete hai … sirf ek mulk ka naam sunai deta hai I-N-D-I-A
Kabir Khan(Shahrukh Khan) the famous Hockey player in the Indian cricket team is disgraced and called a “Gaddar” after the Indian team loses the match. He ends up becoming the coach of the Indian women’s hockey team. The way he handles his team and makes them more than perfect is what we really admire about this film. Shahrukh Khan is undoubtedly seen at his best in the role of a coach.
22. Andaz Apna Apna
Prem(Salman Khan) and Amar(Aamir Khan), the daydreamers are lost in the love of Raveena Bajaj(Raveena Tandon) but who knows that they would come to confront the gangster Teja. The tactics that they adapt to win the love for Raveena and those tricky moves is what we all can never miss out in this movie.
23. Taare Zameen Par
The touching story of a schoolboy who doesn’t know how to read properly and the words appear to him like a battleground is provided support by his teacher and then he outshines everyone in his area of interest i.e.drawing. Aamir Khan in the teacher’s role sets an example for how every teacher needs to be in schools today.
The superstitions and religious beliefs that we follow, the truth behind them is brought to light through this movie. Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma are the main reasons why this movie ended up becoming the best movie of 2014. Each dialogue can make us laugh even today as PK speaks them in all his innocence and childlike way.
Kaun Hindu, kaun Musalman … thappa kidhar hai dikha … ye farak bhagwan nahi tum log banaya hai … aur yahi is gola ka sabse danger wrong number hai
25. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S
“Aye Mamu … jadoo ki jhappi de daal aur baat khatam”
I saw Munnabhai MBBS primarily because of Sunjay Dutt. He has always been good in comedy, and his movies make you laugh without having to take help of double meaning dialogues or crossing the line into bitchiness. Ofcourse, Sunjay Dutt has to have a gangster connection, only then the movie can sell. He is the eternal gangster and those roles fit him well, no body can deny that. But where you really have to give director the full points is that he saw the comedic talents of the junior Dutt and put them into a simplistic, well made movie.
All the characters, be it “Circuit” (Arshad Warsi) or the “Dean”, or Sunil Dutt, have been portrayed well enough in the movie. Some of the scenes, like the one where Sanjay Dutt “rags” the seniors make you laugh out from the heart, because this is something which every fresher in the college dreams of. I think, the movie deserves full points for direction, story, acting, nice title. This movie was a real treat to watch when most of the other Hindi movies (especially the over-hyped stuff) turn out to be below average.
P.S.: The movies are not in any specific order. These movies are all awesome. We can’t simply rate them.
